The American beauty's father Joe and mother Dorothy recently moved in with their daughter, who is helping care for her father's deteriorating health.The 'Basic Instinct' star's 79-year-old father is seriously ill with oesophageal cancer and doctors have told him he only has limited time left which is why Stone who had been making regular trips to visit her parents in their Montana home has now put her career on hold," National Enquirer reported.
"Sharon spent thousands of dollars fixing up a large bedroom in her home with a hospital bed and the special equipment her dad needs. She's tried to make it as much like home as possible for her folks," a source said.
The 51-year-old actress' behaviour has also made an impact on her sister Kelly healing their differences in the past.
"Kelly saw how Sharon was taking in their parents and helping her dad weather his final days. Her heart went out to her and they made up," the source added.
