Remember Rambha, the south siren famous more for her anatomy than acting. She’s set to return to the big screen in a big way with the latest movie Quick Gun Murugan.
In the movie, she plays a temptress with blonde hair and a well-rounded body. Her character Mango Dolly (suggestively named) adds tons of oomph to the comedy film. Interestingly, before shooting the film, the movie’s director Shashank Ghosh straightaway told Rambha that he wanted her to look her voluptuous best in the film.
“I needed someone who looks and talks like the real women we had in the past and not someone who is skin and bones. In fact, I requested her (Rambha) to get few more curves if possible but not lose an inch,” the director unabashedly told a tabloid.
Rambha’s styling is deliberately kept garish in keeping with the movie’s outlandish, other-the-top theme. She’ll be seen in colourful, gaudy outfits and a blonde wig.
The movie also has another hottie Anu Menon playing a character named Locket Girl.
Starring south actor Rajendra Prasad in the title role, ‘Quick Gun Murugan’ is a spoof on Hollywood westerns inspired by a sequence in Shahrukh Khan’s film Om Shanti Om.
The film has already been to London Film Festival and the Indian and Asian film festivals in Los Angeles and New York.
