The Bollywood siren has become quite a heartthrob in the US :Mallika Sherawat has been winning hearts in the US ever since she shifted her base from Mumbai to Los Angeles where she’s been staying for the post production of her upcoming thriller Hisss, directed by Jennifer Lynch and co-produced by Mallika’s brother.Showered with affection, Mallika has been visiting the Twitter headquarters, getting milkshakes named after her and hobnobbing with American musicians and film stars during her stay in LA at a plush apartment close to Beverly Hills.Now, the bombshell has been invited by the Los Angeles City Council for a rare honour on the eve of India’s Independence Day on August 14.According to reports, the council will felicitate Mallika as “an honorary citizen” and present her with a resolution honoring her career and contributions.The event, to be held on the morning of August 14 at Council Chambers, will be attended by many celebs and influential people of the city, including Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.Mallika’s friends and family too have been invited.
