Despite their ongoing divorce process, Madonna and Guy Ritchie, who have been ‘struggling for a while’, will remain friends, according to the woman
who introduced the couple.
Trudie Styler, who introduced the duo at a lunch party at her Wiltshire mansion in 1998, revealed that she trusted both the celebrities to be mature and get along well for the sake of their children. “Obviously they’ve been struggling for a while,” the Daily Express quoted the film producer as saying at a gala at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York. “They’re both big enough people to become great friends in time, and I’m sure they will for the sake of their kids, if nothing else,” she added. The wife of the musician Sting, who is also the godmother of the couple’s eldest son Rocco, aged eight, further added that it was sad their relationship had reached its end. She said: “I wish them both well. I love them both. They’re dear friends but all good things sometimes come to an end.”
