Now, 'troubled' Pak starlet Meera served legal notice to vacate house

LAHORE: Troubles for Pakistani actress Meera have increased furthermore, as she has been served a legal notice to vacate her house within the next 15 days.

The notice was sent by one Raja Khalid, who claimed that Meera had sold her house for 20 million rupees but is yet to vacate it, The Daily Times reports.

Meera, however, has rebuked the claims about selling the house and said that she has not received any such legal notice.

Earlier, Pakistani authorities had served a notice to Meera for failing to submit property tax for the past four years.

The Lollywood actress had failed to clear the tax dues despite several reminders from the tax department.

“Meera has been served a number of notices on her real name Irtiza Arbab but she failed to clear the tax dues. If she fails to submit the outstanding amount of217,000 rupees in property tax till January 15, her house will be sealed,” Excise Officer Malik Muhammad Aslam had said.

A few days ago Meera was held at the Karachi Airport for carrying two passports in her name on arrival from the US.

Meera, who went to the US on her second passport and returned on the previous one, may face three years imprisonment with penalty for infringing the Passport Act.

Meera had also been embroiled in a marriage scandal earlier.
