She has been signed by director Gulbahar Singh for his dream venture Ek Thi Rani Aisi Bhi . The film that is based on the life of Vijayaraje Scindia, queen of Gwalior, will have Hema playing the lead role. Being a seasoned actress, Hema wants to make sure that she gets her act right. The diva will be spending time with the Scindia family in Gwalior to know in details about the queen of Gwalior. "The last time I went to Gwalior with my daughter Ahana for a dance performance but never imagined that I would be playing the role of Rajmata," says an excited Hema. The actress says that it’s not the clothes or the make-up that makes a character tick. Hema wants to do intense research for ETRAB . “I want to do complete justice to the character of Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia,” she says. Hema made a stunning come back in Ravi Chopra's Baghbaan and later got busy with her dance ballet and parliament. But, this time Hema is back with pivotal roles and interesting projects. The film is scheduled to begin soon. “It’s a special film and we’ll have a grand mahurat,” says the diva.
