R and B singer Rihanna has said that she is relieved now that the restraining order handed to her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown has expired. The actress has admitted that she never wanted their fight to impede his music career. "What he did to me was a personal thing; it had nothing to do with his career," the Daily Express quoted the 23-year-old as saying. "Saying he has to be 100 feet away from me, he can't perform at award shows – that definitely made it difficult for him," she added. After Brown assaulted Rihanna, in 2009 he was hit with a strict order meaning the pair could not be at the same events. Brown, 21, is on probation and is allowed near Rihanna as long as he does not harass her.
