Shiney Ahuja has been granted bail after being found guilty of the rape of his domestic assistant.
The Bombay High Court granted bail to the Gangster actor almost a month after he was convicted of the charge and sentenced to seven years.
Shrikant Shivade, Ahuja's lawyer, told The Times of India: "Shiney has been granted bail today on a cash bond of Rs.50,000 (£600)."
The actor has also had travel restrictions placed on him, which ensure that he does not attempt to leave the country.
The former star was originally arrested on June 15, 2009 and charged with rape and wrongful imprisonment.
Since the actor was found guilty of the charge, a number of other figures have spoken out against Ahuja's behaviour on film sets he had worked on.
Ahuja's long-delayed Har Pal, which stars Preity Zinta, is unlikely to release, reports claim.
