Arnold Schwarzenegger opens museum at Austrian childhood home

Arnold Schwarzenegger has attended the opening of a museum at his childhood home in Austria.

The Terminator star returned to the "renovated" house where he grew up in Thal on Friday to officially dedicate the exhibition, which is filled with memorabilia from his life and career.

"It is a little house that stands here behind us, it is an old house, it has been repainted in yellow and it has been freshly renovated. But it was here that I spent my youth," Schwarzenegger said.

The desk Schwarzenegger used as governor, a bronze statue of the actor's likeness, his first set of bodybuilding weights and a variety of film props are currently on display.

Schwarzenegger said that he hopes visitors will be inspired to pursue their dreams by learning about his life story.

"It is my great wish that everyone who visits this museum fully understands that everyone can be successful in their own way. Everyone," he said. "Stay hungry! That was one of my first movies, it has always been my philosophy. This house should carry this message."

Schwarzenegger was joined at the ceremony by his 18-year-old son Patrick and several friends.Source
