The 40-year-old 'My Island Home' singer, who first met Deutrom at school 25 years ago, celebrated their relationship in a clifftop ceremony on her native Torres Strait Islands.
Anu told New Idea magazine: "I perform in front of many thousands of people, so I thought I'd be pretty calm about the wedding. But I couldn't believe how nervous I was on the day!"
Talking about when she first met Deutrom, Anu said: "I fell crazily in love, but I wouldn't hold his hand. That was all he wanted but I knew holding hands could lead to something else, so I didn't want to be alone with him."
In their vows, Anu said: "I love you, you are my best friend. I promise to encourage and inspire you, to laugh with you, to comfort you in times of sorrow and struggle.
"I promise to love you in good times and bad, when our love is simple and when it is an effort. I promise to cherish you and always to hold you in the highest regard. These things I give to you today, and for the rest of our life."
She later said: "I think we finished up at 5am. But I'd waited a long time to get married, and it was everything I'd ever hoped."
