She’s been working hard to reach out to refugees in Ecuador and Angelina Jolie put together a video message in honor of World Refugee Day.
The clip includes an interview with a local woman who survived the violent conditions in Columbia, and the “Changeling” chick made sure to convey the harshness of her plight.
Angelina begins, “We would like to share a little of her story,” as she talked with the woman thanks to the help of a translator.
The translator explained, “They were always living in fear… many times they had to sleep out in the bush because it was too dangerous to stay in the village and sleep in their own houses. When she was back in Colombia, she lost two sons… to violence.”
