Shah Rukh Khan has reportedly signed Leonardo DiCaprio for his upcoming crossover project.
DiCaprio has been linked to the Indo-US production Xtreme City, along with Martin Scorsese, who is said to be producing the film.
Screenwriter Mushtaq Shiekh confirmed the casting to Hindustan Times, saying: "It's true. We are all elated. This is the best news I have heard in a long time."
The tabloid reports that the three stars discussed the possibility of working together when they met in Germany.
"The sheer logistics of merging two great filmmaking cultures seemed overwhelming, until a secret meeting took place on February 12 at last year's Berlin Film Festival," a source revealed.
Filming on the movie will commence in 2012 at the earliest.
