Soon-to-be-mum Celine Dion has been hospitalized to avoid the premature delivery of the singer's twins.
The 42-year-old is expected to give birth to twin boys with her husband Rene Angelil after undergoing months of invasive in-vitro fertilization (IVF).
She is due to give birth in November 2010, reports the Daily Star.
A statement from officials at the St. Mary's Medical Center read: "Ms. Celine Dion... has been admitted to prevent the early delivery of her babies which is a fairly common clinical practice for mothers of twins.
"This is done to ensure the patient can be in close contact with their doctors and clinical resources, leading up to their birth."
It also stated that the facility has been spruced up to ensure privacy, dismissing rumours of any special celebrity treatment for the singer.
