Miss Universe Australia Scherri-Lee Biggs has unveiled the national costume she hopes will win her the crown at the world's most famous beauty pageant.The 20-year-old model from Perth, who was crowned the winner of the Aussie segment of the international beauty pageant last month, said that she loves her "fun" outfit.At the launch of the costume at the Sofitel in Melbourne earlier this week, Biggs unveiled a canary yellow swimsuit, multi-coloured cascading silk skirt and gold-plated headpiece all designed by Nikki Silverthorne from Kooey Swimwear.Silverthorne told The Daily Telegraph that the design of the dress was inspired by Australia's "breathtaking" landscape, saying: "People have to remember it is a costume and it's about having fun."Biggs added: "The bikini ties in the beach culture we love. I feel like I can work it."The Miss Universe pageant took place in Brazil on September 12.Last year's Miss Universe Australia Jesinta Campbell was criticised for wearing fur on her Ugg-inspired national costume.
