Bollywood actress Genelia D'Souza, who shot to fame with "Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na", has joined Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor in signing up as the face of a fairness cream brand.
She will now endorse Garnier's new product Garnier Light, said a press release from the firm.
Deepika is the brand ambassador of Johnson & Johnson's new fairness cream Neutrogena Fine Fairness, while Bollywood hunk John Abraham endorses Garnier Men fairness cream. Sonam Kapoor is the face of L'Oreal white perfect and last year Katrina Kaif was signed up as the face for Olay's skin whitening cream.
Actresses like Aishwarya Rai and Bipasha Basu have spoken against fairness creams as they feel it generates discrimination on the basis of skin colour.
